Inca Jungle Machu Picchu 4 days is an adventure that combines cycling and walking activities, which is an alternative to reach the Inca Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The descent by bicycle will be for an average of 3 hours on paved road until we reach the Inca Complex of Huamán Marka, where we will finish with the bicycles and return to our mobility to continue to the Population of Santa María.
This place offers us our lunch and also the lodging of the first night. Taking advantage of the free afternoon and the tropical climate, this afternoon you have the option of canoeing in the Sacred Valley river, which offers different levels (class III, IV).
This day the Inca Jungle Machu Picchu Tour takes us through the tropical jungle of Cusco until we reach Santa Teresa. We enjoy our rich breakfast and start the first day of our trek towards the jungle.
The Inca Jungle Tour Trail will be an ascent, on the way we will have several stops to learn a little more about the plantations in the area. Uphill we will find a family house where we will relax for about 20 minutes, here we can also stock up with water and some rich tropical fruits.
We will resume our walk passing through a recently discovered Inca Trail that was protected for centuries thanks to nature. After some photos with the landscape we will resume our walk in a descending direction until we reach the lunch point called Quellomayo.
After a delicious lunch and a well-deserved nap in the hammocks of our restaurant, we will continue with the last 2 hours of walking to the thermal baths of Cocalmayo. Here we will have a good time to enjoy this very special place.
Finally we will go to Santa Teresa, where we will spend our second night in a lodging with basic amenities.
This day the Inca Jungle Machu Picchu Tour takes us to the base camp of the third activity called canopy or zip line.
Once this activity is finished, this same company will provide us with transportation to Hidroeléctrica, where we will have lunch and then we will walk for 3 hours until we reach Aguas Calientes.
Our adventure to the Inka Jungle Tour follows the train track, along the way we will observe fruit plantations such as bananas, avocados among others. This valley presents incredible landscapes since we are appreciating the Mountains of Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, Putucusi and as well as part of the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
We arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes where we will settle in our hostel. After a shower and a short rest we go to the restaurant where we will enjoy dinner followed by an explanation from the guide for the next big day.
Today we woke up at 4:30 am to go up very early to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. This road to Machu Picchu is uphill for an average of one hour until reaching Machu Picchu.
We will be one of the first groups within the Inca city, which will allow us to enjoy the majestic sunrise over Machu Picchu. Then we will have a guided tour of the most important places such as: Temple of the sun, Inca palace, main temple, temple of the three windows, astronomical calendar, sacred square among others. Afterwards you can explore the lost city on your own.
At the end of your visit you will return to Aguas Calientes to board the train to Ollantaytambo and then by bus to Cusco.
